Agree 110%.

With exceptions for:
- “Guilty” verdict.
- Obituary.

Yeah: though it wasn’t QUITE as bad as getting an *IGHT word (10 choices!) - it comes down to just having to try all the possibles -fortunately just five today - I’m never sure whether to try the most-common letters first, or go with the odd “X” or “Z” just on the off-chance. Which, I guess, is why they tag a sixer with “Phew!”…

This reminds me, now that Bluesky posts can be viewed without being logged in how long until we can do embeds? My theory was that the requirement to be logged in was the major hurdle for that.

I grabbed a couple of old sets at Goodwill a few years ago to supplement my son’s Lincoln Log sets that came with toy trains. Supposedly for my hypothetical grandkids, but mostly for me — never had enough logs to build really big when I was the kid :)

Bluesky actually doesn’t have an embed feature yet, but I’m putting together a system to render both Mastodon and Bluesky posts from just the URL, like I had for Twitter before Musk killed the API.

From the last post:

re: #127 No Malarkey!

While Clinton wasn’t the greatest candidate, she would’ve been an immeasurably better President than Trump, and she probably would’ve won the election if Comey hadn’t violated DOJ policy by sending the October surprise letter announcing a new email investigation.

I’m generally loathe to rehash stuff from a previous post, but whenever someone starts in with that fucking “HRC was the suckiest candidate to ever suck a suck” bullshit, the bolded needs to be thrown back at them with the force of a Cat 18 hurricane.

I wouldn’t have even brought this up, but I had another “Biden’s doing great, so therefore he must resign because he’s something-something-not-perfect-don’t-worry-anyone-can-beat-Trump” bullshit conversation this afternoon. Tired of hearing people ready to throw in the towel or throw the candidate under the bus because said candidate isn’t held aloft by unicorn farts and rainbow-powered jet packs.

And with that… Merry Christmas!
